The International Forum on Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) 2026 will take place in Da Nang

Advancing policy dialogue and technology collaboration in the context of the global energy transition

Scheduled to be held from May 6–8, 2026 in Da Nang City, the International Forum on “Innovation in Policy and Technology for Sustainable Aviation Fuel – SAF Da Nang 2026” will bring together regulators, aviation and energy enterprises, technology organizations, and investors from both domestic and international markets. With a multi-stakeholder scale and a value chain integration approach, the event is expected to become a key highlight in advancing the SAF market in Vietnam and across Asia.

In the context of the global energy transition, the aviation industry is facing increasing pressure to reduce emissions, with SAF considered a key solution to achieving Net Zero targets. Promoting collaboration, knowledge sharing, and market development for SAF has therefore become an urgent priority.

SAF Da Nang 2026 marks a new milestone in establishing a dedicated platform for in-depth dialogue in Vietnam, connecting stakeholders ranging from policymakers and aviation–energy enterprises to technology providers and financial institutions.

The event is supported by the Da Nang Innovation Startup Support Center (DISSC), the Asia Sustainable Aviation Fuel Association (ASAFA), and Star Consulting, with Veritas Advisory serving as the official event organizer.

To date, the forum has received confirmed participation from high-level policymakers such as the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Construction, and the Ministry of Science and Technology, along with leaders from airlines, fuel producers, advanced technology providers, and leading financial investors in the region. Notably, Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company (BSR) is participating as a Diamond Sponsor, contributing to enhancing both the scale and the technical quality of the event.

A key highlight of the forum is the integration of the entire SAF value chain – from feedstock and production technologies to financial mechanisms and policy frameworks – aimed at promoting collaborative initiatives with practical implementation potential in Vietnam.

With advantages in sustainable feedstock resources, a strategic position in the Asia–Pacific region, and the rapid growth of the aviation sector, Vietnam is assessed to have strong potential to become a key link in the regional SAF supply chain. This forum is expected to help define that role while elevating Da Nang’s position as a hub for innovation and international collaboration in the field of green transition.
