Mr. Cao Ba Thuy

With nearly 30 years of experience in information technology, finance and banking, fintech, and digital transformation advisory, Mr. Cao Ba Thuy possesses extensive expertise in the development, implementation, and management of technology systems serving banking, payment, and financial services operations. He has held various senior leadership and management positions at major institutions, including PGBank, PayU, VPS Securities, Temenos, Oracle Financial Services, NCB, PVcomBank, and commercial banks in Vietnam.

His career spans roles such as Chief Information Officer, Project Director, Regional Consulting Director, and senior business and technology leadership positions in the financial software and banking technology sectors. Throughout his professional journey, he has been deeply involved in key areas including core banking systems, payment solutions, digital transformation, cloud computing, SaaS, information security, market development, and technology strategy advisory for financial institutions.

In addition to his extensive practical experience, he is currently pursuing a PhD in Fintech, Innovation, Consumer Behaviour, and Technology at the Asian Institute of Technology, and holds an MBA in Banking and Financial Services from Benedictine University. This academic background enables him to combine strong management thinking, technological insight, and an innovation-driven perspective in the context of the financial sector’s rapid transition toward digitalization. He was also recognized with the Southeast Asia CIO Award in 2011 and achieved Top 2 Global Account Management Performance at Temenos in 2022.
